Vacancies at Joy The following are some of the current teaching availabilities at Joy. This page is updated weekly, and positions will remain on this page until they have been filled. Jobs are listed in order of availability. While the hours offered in the positions listed below must necessarily be taken as a package, additional teaching hours are available for teachers who seek more hours than are offered by any one position. Teachers are welcome to apply for more than one position listed below. Job No: XYR001 Program: Joy Regular School Location: Branch School City: Downtown, Taipei Class Times: Tuesday and Friday afternoons 5:00-7:50 Hour per Week: 6 Rate of Pay: NTD530 per hour (Experienced and/or qualified teachers may be offered more according to their suitability) Contract: Minimum one year commitment required Comments: This is a well-established branch school located in the heart of downtown Taipei. The school is situated on a major bus route and within 10 minutes of the MRT brown line (subway). The program has a set curriculum based around components in writing, reading, speaking and listening. All teaching materials and training are provided. Additional teaching hours may be available for the successful applicant. Start Date: Immediate start Job No: YHR001 Program: Joy Regular School Location: Branch School City: Suburban, Taipei Class Times: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons 5:40-7:30 Hour per Week: 16 Rate of Pay: NTD530 per hour (Experienced and/or qualified teachers may be offered more according to their suitability) Contract: Minimum one year commitment required Comments: This is a well-established branch school located in the suburban area of Taipei. The school is situated on a major bus route and within minutes walk of the MRT (subway). Each class is 50 minutes in duration and students range from beginner to intermediate level. All teaching materials and training are provided. Additional teaching hours may be available for the successful applicant. Start Date: Immediate start Job No: HQ001 Program: Joy Regular School Location: Branch School City: Downtown, Taipei Class Times: Weekday afternoons 1:30-6:30 Saturday mornings 8:30-12:30 Hour per Week: 20 Rate of Pay: NTD530 per hour (Experienced and/or qualified teachers may be offered more according to their suitability) Contract: Minimum one year commitment required Comments: This is a well-established branch school located in the center of downtown Taipei. The school is situated on a major bus route and within minutes walk of the MRT green line (subway). Each class is 50 minutes in duration and students range from beginner to intermediate level. Start Date: Immediate start Job No: AC001 Program: ACOTRS FOR JOY EXPRESS MAGAZINE Location: Keelung Road, Liuzhangli MRT station City: Taipei Class Times: afternoons Hour per Week: 9 Rate of Pay: NT$1,000 per hour Contract: none Comments: Our monthly magazine Joy Express is looking for male and female actors to act out the dialogues in the magazine on an Internet English-teaching program.
